Hotel painting and decorating Westminster at the New Great Scotland Yard Hotel formed part of a major heritage conversion close to Whitehall. The project transformed former government buildings into a five star hotel with guestrooms, suites and refined public spaces. Construction added new structure, upgraded services and extensive fit out while protecting the listed fabric. Because the site sat in a busy city centre location, access and sequencing required careful planning. As a result, deliveries, protection and testing followed tight schedules.
Nora Building painted and decorated guestrooms, corridors and selected public areas. Our scope covered walls and ceilings, woodwork and metalwork, plus local preparation and stain blocking where needed. We finished doors and frames with close attention to edges and profiles so old and new elements read as one. In addition, we matched colours to approved samples and coordinated finishes with feature joinery, stone and metals.
Delivery on a live, complex site demanded control. Therefore, we protected floors and fixtures, maintained clean routes and aligned our work with joinery, MEP and flooring teams. We also planned quiet hours, chose low odour products and improved ventilation to reduce disruption to neighbours and site staff. Finally, each area closed with joint inspections, snagging and sign off to confirm quality.
The outcome presented a consistent, high quality finish across guest rooms and front-of-house spaces. Period details remained clear while new surfaces looked calm and even. Overall, this case study shows hotel painting and decorating Westminster delivered to specification, to programme and with minimal disruption.
