Aylesbury Estate

Residential painting Southwark at Aylesbury Estate formed part of a major housing renewal in south London. Hill delivered the scheme with Southwark Council and Notting Hill Genesis. In total, the wider plan aims to bring around 3,500 new homes to the area. This part of the project added 229 new homes and helped improve the estate with better public space and stronger community facilities.

Homes on the scheme included apartments, houses and maisonettes. Many were for social rent. The project also included 54 extra care homes and seven homes for people with learning difficulties. As a result, the development met a wide range of local housing needs and supported long-term community growth.

Nora Building carried out painting and decorating works alongside Magic Man repairs across the new homes and shared areas. Our team finished private homes, communal routes and other key spaces across the development. We also completed surface repairs, snagging and final touch-ups to help each area reach handover standard. Approved colours guided the finish, while the team matched each system to the space and the stage of the programme.

Because the works formed part of a larger renewal plan, close coordination mattered from the start. Daily checks helped keep quality steady and reduced the need for rework. Hill and other trades worked alongside our team to protect finished surfaces and keep the programme moving. In busier shared areas, we used durable systems that supported easier cleaning and long-term use.

Overall, the result was a clean and reliable finish across homes and common parts. Repairs blended neatly into the final standard. This project showed residential painting Southwark delivered at scale, with painting, finishing and Magic Man repairs completed to programme and to a high standard.
